Science Teacher receives Presidential Award

 

Jeffrey Wright, a physics teacher at Louisville Male High School is a recipient of the 2008 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.  Wright received a $10,000.00 educational grant and an all-expense paid trip for two to Washington, DC to attend the PAEMST Award Ceremony earlier this year at the National Academy of Sciences.  Other awards that Wright has received are Disney Hand National Teacher Award, an Amgen Award for Science Teaching Excellence and the 2006 Teacher of the Year Award from Ashland Inc. and the Kentucky Department of Education.
